Many studies have found that gas infrared radiation heating has many advantages, especially in the heating of high-ceiling industrial workshops in northern areas. Compared with traditional convection heating methods, the gas radiation heating system not only reduces energy consumption, but also reduces energy costs and saves operating costs for enterprises. What are the precautions for installing gas radiation heating systems in industrial buildings? 
 
The relevant provisions of the Code for Design of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning of Industrial Buildings (GB50019-2015) should be followed when designing indoor temperatures using gas radiation heating equipment. 
 
5.5 Gas Infrared Radiation Heating 
 
5.5.1 In areas without electrical explosion protection requirements, it is economically and technically reasonable to use gas infrared radiation heating. When using gas infrared radiation heating, the following provisions shall be complied with: 
 
1. When the maximum concentration of flammable substances that may occur does not exceed 10% of the lower explosive limit, the burner should be located outdoors. 
 
2. When the burner is installed indoors, safety ventilation measures should be taken and the relevant provisions of the current national standard for urban gas design Code GB 50028 should be complied with. 
 
5.5.2 Gas infrared radiation heating is strictly prohibited for use in Class I and Class II production workshops and warehouses. 
 
5.5.3 The fuel for the gas infrared radiation heating system should meet the requirements of urban gas quality and be suitable for natural gas. Liquified petroleum gas and artificial coal gas may also be used. The gas inlet pressure should be compatible with the required pressure of the burner. The fuel should be fully vaporized. In areas with extremely cold and cold climates when using liquefied petroleum gas, measures should be taken to prevent the gas from liquefying again due to low pipe laying environment temperature. The gas quality and gas distribution system should comply with the current national standard "Design Code for Urban Gas Supply and Gas Utilization" (GB 50028). 
 
5.5.4 When gas infrared radiation heating is adopted, the heat load shall be calculated according to the provisions of this Code's Section 5.2, and the indoor design temperature shall be 2°C to 3°C lower than the air temperature for convective heating. When air is supplied to the burner from indoors, the heat load required to heat the air shall also be calculated. 
 
5.5.5 The installation height of gas infrared radiation heaters shall comply with the following provisions: 
 
The distance between the heater and the workpiece should be determined according to the radiation intensity and installation angle of the heater, production process requirements, and human comfort. Unless there are special requirements for the process, it should not be less than 3m. 
 
2.When used for fixed location heating, it should be installed above or to the side of the human body. 
 
3. When the installation height exceeds the maximum height for the rated heat output, an additional correction should be made to the total input heat of the heater. 
 
5.5.6 When gas infrared radiation heating is used for full-building heating, the heaters should be arranged along the exterior walls, and the heat output of the heaters should not be less than 60% of the total heat load.
