Compared with the traditional convection heating method, infrared radiation heating method has the advantages of fast heating speed, uniform heating, high thermal efficiency, high efficiency and energy saving. The heat conversion rate of infrared radiation heating is basically more than 90%, and the energy efficiency is higher. Traditional convection heating method preheating time is 2 hours, the process of energy waste is huge; The infrared radiation heating equipment will have a warm feeling in a few minutes after opening, and the required indoor temperature will be reached in about 30 minutes. 
 

	In addition, after the traditional heating equipment is closed, the industrial workshop will soon cool down, and after the infrared radiation heating equipment is shut down, the energy consumption will stop immediately, but the heat stored in the envelope, the ground and the object will slowly dissipate heat to the environment, maintain a slower cooling, and can still maintain the required temperature within 2 hours after the shutdown. The reason for this effect is that it is fundamentally different from traditional convection heating methods.

1) Different ways of heat transfer 
 
The traditional convection heating heat transfer method is through the heat medium in the traditional heating equipment circulation, through the heat released by the traditional heating equipment heating the surrounding air, the air is heated up, the formation of air convection, which is a gradual and slow process, the space temperature gradient formed by it is hot and cold. 
 
Infrared radiation heating technology is to simulate the way the sun transfers heat. Radiant heating equipment transmits more than 95% of the heat downward in the form of infrared waves. When the ground, personnel, and objects below receive heat, they gradually dissipate heat into the air, forming a bottom-up heat flow and a low temperature gradient. 
 
2) Different temperature design requirements 
 
According to GB50019-2015 Design Code for Heating, Ventilation and air conditioning of industrial buildings 5.5.4: When gas infrared radiation heating is used, the calculated indoor temperature should be 2℃ ~ 3℃ lower than the air temperature in the convective heating room. 
 
That is, compared with traditional convective heating, in the case of the same indoor air temperature, the realistic temperature under infrared radiation heating is 2℃ ~ 3℃ higher than that under convective heating. Therefore, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is small, and the cold air permeability is also small, reducing the heat loss of the heating space and saving energy consumption. 
 
3) Different ways of energy delivery 
 
In the traditional convective heating system, the heat medium in the pipeline network that is transported along the road, about 10% to 30% of the heat loss (related to the distance of the burner and the degree of pipe wall insulation), reducing the thermal efficiency. 
 

	Infrared radiation heating system, taking gas infrared radiation heating equipment as an example, gas in the pipeline network transmission process, because there is no heat long-distance transmission process, so only about 2% of the heat loss. In addition, the combustion of gas is complete, close to 100%, so the heat can be fully utilized.
